Assembler II
About the role
CPI Radant Technologies Division Inc., a division of CPI (Communications & Power Industries LLC), performs work on radomes and advanced structural composites for the Aerospace and Defense industries. We specialize in the design, manufacture, and testing of radomes/reflectors for use in high performance airborne, ground-based shipboard, and submarine installations.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate parts, products, and assemblies from written instructions and associated sketches
- Manually perform lay-up assemblies of composite parts using various resin-reinforced fabrics & hand tools such as cutting tools, heat guns, templates, etc.
- Trim / Drill and assemble Radomes
- Tape / Sand / Wash Radomes for coatings
- Work to schedules and action lists to complete tasks and goals
Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write, and understand English
- Good written documentation and oral communication skills
- Able to follow written instructions and associated manufacturing plans or sketches
- Must be able to read from written instructions and follow verbal directions
- Pushing/pulling/lifting up to 30 pounds
- May work at elevated heights on scaffolding platforms and small spaces
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.
- This position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
Salary and Benefits
Salary range: $22.00 to $24.00 per hour based on experience
