About the role
An Assembler II performs general assembly operations within the RDI and/or Door departments, supporting the assembly of walk-in cooler and freezer components, including Air Shield assemblies, by following established procedures to meet quality, safety, and productivity standards. This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor and is based in Parsons, Tennessee.
Major accountability areas: Safety, Quality, Production.
Responsibilities
- Assemble walk-in cooler and freezer components in the RDI or Door department in accordance with work instructions, job orders, and engineering drawings.
- Perform general assembly operations including panel-related assemblies, door components, hardware installation, and Air Shield assembly.
- Read and interpret job orders, diagrams, and blueprints to select, position, and assemble required materials and accessory components.
- Inspect assembled components to ensure conformance with quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements.
- Operate hand tools and basic pneumatic or electric power tools required for assembly tasks.
- Load, unload, lift, and move materials and assemblies using appropriate lifting equipment when available.
- Accurately complete and maintain all required electronic and/or manual production documentation, including checklists, stamps, barcodes, and related paperwork.
- Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards.
- Perform all duties in accordance with the Quality Management System, Safety Management System, and Welbilt Code of Conduct.
- Actively participate in safety training and promptly resolve or escalate safety concerns.

Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing and/or construction.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tape measures.
- Perform basic math and reading comprehension.
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
- Ability to stand/walk on concrete for a full shift and work in temperatures above 95°F.
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, and lift 50 lbs alone; lift more than 50 lbs with assistance.
- Ability to handle tools safely and inspect finished products.
- Must be able to wear PPE.
