Assembler II 1st Shift - El Paso, TX

About the role

The Assembler II position is available to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. This role is "On-Site" at the Eaton ES AMER PCS El Paso facility located at 1 Helen of Troy Plaza. Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:45 pm.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a broad range of knowledge and skills in assembly, including testing, troubleshooting, and understanding the product and process.
• Perform correct assembly and accurate testing using established power checking procedures and equipment.
• Verify the electrical/mechanical integrity of units assembled according to established procedures.
• Handle materials in accordance with established procedures and perform routine maintenance on plant equipment as required.
• Inspect and test finished products to ensure they meet specifications and codes.
• Communicate problem areas or parts shortages to supervisors and maintain expected progress of jobs in area of assignment.
• Handle finished products for shipment, call carriers, and load materials into carrier's vehicles.
• Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures and keep the work area clean and orderly.

Requirements

• One year of Assembly experience.

Qualifications

• High School/GED.

Skills

• Forklift driver certification.
• Experience with supply chain systems (AS400, MAPICS).
• Experience in Electrical Equipment Manufacturing and Assembly (panelboards/switchboards).

This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. However, the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Pay

The rate for this position is $17.88 per hour.

Schedule

Hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:45 pm.

This position is "On-Site" at the Eaton ES AMER PCS El Paso facility located at 1 Helen of Troy Plaza. There is no relocation benefit offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Eaton El Paso, TX facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service members are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
