About the Role

An Assembler I at TSI is responsible for building assigned instruments or components under general supervision. Duties include soldering, working under microscopes, and performing mechanical assembly tasks. Responsibilities may vary and include calibrations, troubleshooting, and setup adjustments.

Responsibilities

  • Perform assembly operations using basic hand tools
  • Work collaboratively with assigned groups to meet production deadlines
  • Handle hand soldering, microscope work, and rework/repair tasks
  • Conduct calibrations and variable testing to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Diagnose and resolve issues independently or with guidance
  • Set up and adjust machines as needed
  • Verify part quality and document findings
  • Enter data into SAP screens as required
  • Participate in process improvements and suggest modifications to manufacturing procedures
  • Organize and maintain workspaces
  • Follow safety protocols and report hazards
  • Build sub-assemblies or new instruments from start to finish
  • Adhere to blueprints and manufacturer guidelines

Requirements

  • Minimum of one year experience in production/manufacturing
  • Soldering and/or microscope experience (some positions may require additional assembly experience)
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in SAP
  • Ability to train others on standard procedures and assemblies
  • Proficiency in arithmetic, reading instructions, and using measuring devices

Qualifications

  • Desired knowledge includes entry-level SAP, basic computer skills, and ability to read blueprints

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices
