Assembler I (5:00am to 1:30pm) Viper Internal

About the role

In this job you will perform a variety of sub-assembly and/or assembly operations of basic complexity. As an Assembler I, you will prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies. Assist in the building of prototypes and/or other basic assembly projects outside of normal production as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Assist in the building of prototypes and/or other basic assembly projects outside of normal production as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Train others in performance of basic assembly tasks as needed.
• Inspect all work and ensure it meets requirements prior to passing it on to the next operation.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.

Requirements

• A high school diploma, GED, or combination of work experience and skill development.
• Ideally has 0-1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Able to read and interpret drawings and bills of material.
• Able to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in English.

Qualifications

• Physical Demands: Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL).
• Lifting Demands: Lift up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis, lift up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis, carry up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis up to 25 feet, push/pull up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis, push/pull more than 40 pounds on an occasional basis with assistance.
• Postural Demands: Standing – continuous, Walking – continuous, Bending/stooping – frequent, Squatting/kneeling – frequent, Lifting – frequent.
• Miscellaneous Demands: Griping, manipulation, fingering – continuous, Variable hand/power tool use – frequent.
