Assembler I- 1st Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking an Assembler I to join our team at our Fort Worth, TX site. The hourly rate for this position is $17.50 - $21.00.

About the Role

As a member of our team, you will work in a modern, dynamic factory environment where we increasingly rely on artificial intelligence (AI) to optimize production processes and drive innovation. You will be responsible for processing and scanning in and out work orders, reading and interpreting blueprints and bill of materials, assembling fabricated parts, preparing finished units for shipping, and disassembling units to adjust or replace parts.

Responsibilities

• Process and scan in and out work orders (utilizing computers, scanning devices, etc.) in adherence to the production schedule or expedited orders.
• Read and interpret documents associated with the completion of mechanical assembly assignments (blueprints, bill of materials, one-line diagrams, etc.).
• Collect parts and accessories required in the assembly process, assemble fabricated parts to build unit assemblies (Low Voltage Switchgear, Switchboards, and Power Panels) or subassemblies while using tools and equipment common to the mechanical and/or wiring trade (hand & power tools, wire strippers, pliers, crimpers).
• Prepare finished units for shipping (packing, sealing, labeling, etc.).
• Secure component parts on frames, subassemblies, or unit assemblies while verifying that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
• Disassemble units to adjust or replace parts and connect cables and basic wires, mark units with identifying information and/or attach identifying tags, report non-conforming items.

Requirements

• Basic computer skills
• Use of basic mechanical/measuring tools
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language
• Make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects, stoop, bend, squat, crawl, and climb
• Reach, grasp, lift up to 75 lbs, and push/pull/slide heavy material (as needed)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Assembly/Wiring Experience

Skills

• Basic computer skills
• Use of basic mechanical/measuring tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and bill of materials
• Ability to assemble fabricated parts and prepare finished units for shipping
• Ability to disassemble units to adjust or replace parts and connect cables and basic wires
