About the Role
The assembler performs production assembly tasks to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards. This includes assembling parts using hand tools, power tools, and equipment, interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings, and following detailed procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assemble final and subassembly products in an open-air manufacturing environment.
- Adhere to safety protocols, maintain a clean workspace, and operate within SOPs and JSAs.
- Detect and report defective materials, perform first article inspections, and ensure quality compliance.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to meet production goals.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions.
- Be flexible to work in various areas and positions, and operate computer systems and ERP software.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED; prior manufacturing or industrial experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to interpret technical documents.
- Ability to work in noisy, dusty environments with machinery, chemicals, and moving parts.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform repetitive motions.
- Proficiency in English and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
