Assembler (Fall River)

About the role

Reporting to the Assembly Manager, the Assembler produces components by assembling parts and sub‑assemblies for Metalcraft’s top‑of‑the‑line SCAG family of products.

Responsibilities

• Position parts and sub‑assemblies using templates or by reading measurements.
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and sub‑assemblies.
• Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with light electrical assembly and/or heavy equipment assembly (training will be provided).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team and coordinate work with other departments.
• Aptitude to take orders and execute them efficiently.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated detail orientation, self‑motivation, and ability to multi‑task.
• Good finger and hand dexterity.

Physical Demands

• Lift/Carry: 25 lb routinely, 55 lb occasionally.
• Push/Pull: 25 lb routinely, 55 lb occasionally.
• Reach Overhead: occasional (1–2 hrs/shift).
• Climb, Squat/Bend/Kneel, Sit, Stand, Walk/Move About: regularly (5–8 hrs/shift).

Work Environment

Regular exposure to varying temperature conditions between 60‑100 °F, loud noise, moving machinery parts, airborne particles, and fumes from production equipment.
