Assembler C - Functional Testing (contract)
About the role
This contract assignment is for a position requiring extensive experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing, specifically in electrical assembly, electronic materials, avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting. The role involves performing complex production assembly operations, conducting functional testing of aircraft electrical systems, and troubleshooting and repairing aircraft systems. The candidate should also be proficient in software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite, and other specialized computer applications.
Responsibilities
- Performs complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual or automated assembly tools.
- Performs functional testing of aircraft electrical systems and components.
- Assesses and documents test or analysis data to show compliance.
- Identifies roadblocks and production constraints, escalating issues that cannot be resolved by the team through open and clear communication.
- Supports teammates to improve overall team performance by providing cross-training and mentoring.
- Adheres to high standards of safety and compliance to regulations.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing.
- 7+ years of experience in electrical assembly and/or electronic materials.
- 7+ years of experience in avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, and aircraft electrical systems troubleshooting.
- 7+ years of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite, and/or other specialized computer applications.
- 7+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
Physical Demands
- Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
- Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as: flexion/extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist, walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).
Training
Successful completion and clearance of all screening requirements is a contingency for this assignment. Additionally, candidates must have 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
