Assembler

About the role

Performs complex assembly or modification tasks on electronic and mechanical assemblies, sub-assemblies and systems.

Responsibilities

• Install a variety of mechanical devices, hardware, wire harness, using wire soldering techniques, and ability to point out wire.
• Assembles, disassembles, and modifies various production subassemblies by following work plans.
• Inspects results to ensure conformance to IPC-610/620 standards.
• Performs tasks of lower-level assembler job descriptions as needed.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.

Skills

Required:

• Must achieve specified solder certification in various assembly/soldering techniques, pre-company, and customer standards.
• Hand solder through hold and surface mount solder rework.
• Able to work to process sheets and work plans.
• Able to use various hand tools and perform simple testing.

Preferred:

• Strong solder skills and good mechanical aptitude.

Experience

Required: Three (3) to Four (4) years of electronic assembly experience.

Preferred: Up to (8) year of electronic / mechanical assembly experience.

Education

Requires two (2) years of a High School or Trade School education.

Job Details

• Pay Rate: $24.50 per hour.
• Contract: 03 Months Contract with Hire.
• Shift: 1st (Mon-Fri) 7:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
• Work Schedule: 9/80.
• Authorization: US Citizenship Required.
• Location: Greenlawn, NY 11740.

Additional Information

Must be eligible to obtain security clearance if required at a later date.
