Assembler

STS Technical Services is hiring Assemblers in Liberty, Missouri. This full-time manufacturing role is responsible for safely assembling equipment using mechanical, electrical and manual tools while following detailed work instructions, blueprints and production requirements. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with hand and power tools, assembling mechanical components and maintaining consistent quality in a fast-paced production environment. Position Overview The Assembler will build equipment by installing parts, wiring, hoses, hydraulic components and accessories according to established instructions and specifications. This position requires attention to detail, safe tool operation and the ability to work across multiple assembly areas as production needs change. Responsibilities Assemble parts, wiring, hoses and hydraulic componentsUse power tools and manual assembly techniquesInstall product accessories including decals, mud flaps, cameras and lightsSafely operate overhead cranes to position partsUse hand tools including wrenches and hammersOperate pneumatic tools and torque gunsMeasure components accurately using tape measuresDrill and tap holes for wiring, hoses and small componentsRead and interpret schematics and blueprintsFollow Standard Work InstructionsIdentify required product options from technical documentationLift and stack subassemblies and partsCross-train and work in multiple assembly areas as neededFollow written and verbal instructionsMaintain attention to detail and established quality standardsMaintain a clean and safe work areaFollow company safety requirements and 6S standards Qualifications Ability and willingness to work overtime as neededAbility to work evenings, weekends and holidays when required by production demandsAbility to maintain regular and reliable onsite attendanceAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to safely use hand, pneumatic and power toolsAbility to work effectively in a manufacturing or production environment Preferred Qualifications Six or more months of manufacturing or general labor experience Physical Requirements and Work Environment Ability to stand for extended periodsAbility to perform repetitive motionsAbility to lift and carry up to 35 poundsAbility to push and pull up to 50 poundsAbility to sustain pushing or pulling up to 30 poundsAbility to bend, kneel and climb as requiredAbility to safely use tools and production equipmentAbility to work around loud noise, dust and moving machineryAbility to work in environments with temperature fluctuationsAbility to wear required personal protective equipmentVisual and auditory acuity sufficient for safe equipment operation and workplace communication Reasonable accommodations will be considered for qualified individuals with disabilities.
