Description
Schedule and Pay
- This position is scheduled for four 10-hour shifts (6AM-4:30PM) per week.
- Starting salary-$20 per hour with a scheduled increase after completing the first 90 days and on-the-job training.
Summary Of This Position
- Complete assembly tasks per established time standards and methods to meet customer expectations, quality standards, and on time delivery requirements.
- Prepare material for assembly process including documentation review, tool selection, component selection, workstation set-up, and disassembly of product.
- Set-up and complete assembly and sub-assembly tasks per the production order in required standard time.
- Use various hand tools (manual or power) in a safe manner to complete assembly tasks.
- Review completed parts to customer requirements and department standards.
- Packaging product for shipment using established materials and methods.
- Participate in and support improvement projects within production environment.
- Cross train in other areas as required: machining, surface treatment, etc.

Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, reports, other documentation to meet position objectives, i.e., blueprints, bill of materials, routers, etc.
- Ability to use PCs, tablets, barcode scanners, and label makers.
Educational Requirements
- Ability to pass Phoenix Mecano’s knowledge assessments.
Physical Requirements
- Routinely required to use a hands, fingers, and arms in repetitive motions.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend throughout a work shift.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds | Occasionally required to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Consistently required to use hand or light power tools.
- Regulary required to move (push and pull) racks and pallets of product around production floor (up to 100 feet at a time).
Common PPE
- Safety shoes and glasses.
- Full face shield, hearing protection, protective coats, gloves, and dust mask.
