Job Purpose
The Assembler is responsible for producing components for medical devices by assembling parts, subassemblies, and packaging finished goods. The Assembler will operate a variety of equipment, including ultrasonic welders, tubing expanders, glue dispensing machines and a heat seal machine and is responsible for ensuring products meet established quality requirements.
Accountabilities
- Assembly and Packaging
- Perform repetitive line assembly operations to produce sub assembly and finished good components for NTI surgical/medical products.
- Place parts in specified relationship to each other in accordance with Work Instructions, drawings, standard operating procedures, and good manufacturing practices.
- Inspection and Documentation
- Perform visual inspection of intricate components.
- Perform in-process quality checks of product as required.
- Accurately maintain and complete required forms or logs.
- Administrative
- Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and high-quality standards.
- Complete and review all documentation associated with the manufacturing processes.
- Comply with Employee Handbook, the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Company policies, procedures, and ISO standard.
- Support IT Manager with upgrades, deployments, and other activities.
- Capture and document knowledge solutions for internal use and customer self-service.
- Ensure clear and concise communications with both internal and external customers.
- Perform other work-related duties and special projects as required.
- Health and Safety
- Comply with the Code of Business Conduct & Ethics, Company policies, procedures and ISO standard.
Minimum Required Education And Experience
- High school diploma / GED
- Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate in English
- 1 year of experience in manufacturing, preferably in a medical device environment
- Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and work with accuracy and efficiency
Working Conditions
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and use hands throughout the work shift.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work on intricate components with or without corrective lenses.
- Ability to stoop, bend or twist to perform assigned job duties.
- Must wear appropriate clean room attire and all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a good, cooperative, and respectful attitude.
