Assembler

Location: Sumter, SC • Duration: 12 months • Hours/week: 40 • Client: Medical Devices Company • Employment type: Contract on W2 (US Citizens or GC Holders/GC EAD/OPT/EAD/CPT)

About the role

Performs any combination of tasks involved in the fabrication, manufacture, assembly, testing and packaging of medical devices as well as setting up, operating, performing maintenance on and troubleshooting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections on the processing line per quality specifications
• Work within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods, adhering to quality guidelines

Requirements

Entry level position requiring 0-1 year of manufacturing assembly experience; previous manufacturing work experience preferred.

High school diploma or GED required.

• Must pass eye exam prior to start: 20/30 vision (with or without corrective lenses) and/or successful color vision exam (available Tuesdays and Thursdays mornings)
• Steel toe shoes required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
• Ability to work flexible/extended hours and report to work regularly and punctually
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods

Skills

• Reading, writing, interpreting, and comprehending specifications in English
• Basic math calculations
• Use of basic measurement tools (e.g., microscopes)
• Effective communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Teamwork and willingness to rotate into different tasks/responsibilities

Pay

$15.50 per hour

Schedule

Monday‑Saturday, 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM (3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off); 40 hours per week, 1st shift.
