Assembler

About the role

We are seeking an Assembler to join our Operations team. This role involves assembling, inspecting, and packaging medical device products. Shifts are available on first shift from 5 am - 3 pm and second shift from 3 pm till 1 am, for 4 10-hour days with potential overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of basic assembly processes, including cutting, bonding, wrapping, cleaning, etc.
• Operate various types of custom machinery, such as semi-auto bonding machines, packaging equipment, etc.
• Show constant attention to detail and immediately inform supervisor of anything out of the ordinary or non-conforming to the approved process sheets.
• Follow and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Complete training and understand documentation needed to comply with Laborie’s quality system policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or relevant experience.
• Able to read and understand work instructions.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Able to reach above shoulder heights, below the waist, or lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
• Able to work at cleanroom table heights ranging from 30”-40” in a sitting or standing position.
• Able to work closely with other employees.
• Able to work with and around Cyclohexanone, methylene chloride, and similar chemicals with proper personal protective equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical device manufacturing is preferred.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate in the English language is preferred.
• 1-3 years’ experience in light assembly, packaging, and shipping environments is preferred.
• Forklift/pallet jack operator certification is preferred.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
