Assembler

About the role

The Assembler will assemble, inspect, and package the Company’s medical device products. They will also assist in receiving/stocking duties, shipping duties including pick/pack and preparing shipping documents/paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and/or kit light medical parts/components into final products, per documented procedures and work instructions.
• Operate various types of assembly line machinery.
• Perform/document in-process and final inspection of assembled components.
• Receive, inspect, stock, and ship disposable medical garment product line.
• Aid and/or support Warehouse Associates and/or Mix-Fill Manufacturing Technicians.
• Show constant attention to detail, and immediately inform supervisor of anything out of the ordinary, or anything which does not conform to the approved process sheets.
• Complete training and understand documentation needed to comply with Laborie’s quality system policies and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma / GED or relevant experience.
• 1-3 years' experience in light assembly, packaging and shipping environment desirable.
• Must be able to read and understand work instructions.
• Individuals will need to stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to reach above shoulder heights, below the waist or lift as required to file documents or store materials during the workday.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical device manufacturing is preferred.
• Basic computer skills are preferred.
• Ability to read, understand and communicate in the English language preferred.
