Assembler

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• End finish operations
• Read DPR / determine quantity required
• Standard packaging label (spec #40001)
• Complete DPR paperwork (spec#00005 & 00006)
• Collection of products
• Report processing difficulties to supervisor (or designate)
• Variety of cut to length operations
• Use of weigh count scales
• Miscellaneous in-process product inspection
• Testing of products
• General housekeeping and sanitation
• General maintenance activities
• Dimensional measurement of extruded tubing
• Visual inspection of extruded tubing
• Other duties as assigned

  Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Legible handwriting
  • 1+ years of on-the-job experience in medical device manufacturer or component manufacturer
  • Able to perform repetitive tasks for a minimum of 8 hours each workday
  • Hand dexterity is essential, as small parts need to be assembled
  • Good eye-hand coordination is required
  • Able to use, but not limited to, pin gauges, ruler, tape measure, and caliper
  • Worker should be able to meet known targets
  • Able to work independently or in a team
  • Able to maintain accurate records

  Physical Demands

  • Continual lifting up to 50 lb
  • Gripping, turning, finger dexterity, and hand /eye coordination is required throughout the shift
  • Long hours: 8 + hour shifts, mostly standing occasionally rotating into a sitting position

  Work Environment

  • Exposure to noise is present
  • Safety equipment such as protective eyewear is required, however hearing protection is optional and both are provided by the company
  • Manufacturing, warehouse and clean room environments
