Assembler

About the role

The Dixon Group is seeking an Assembler to join their Dixon Specialty Products division in Chestertown, MD. This position offers a competitive salary range of $17 - $19 per hour and operates on a 2nd shift schedule from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Assemble high-quality mechanical components with care and precision
• Perform detailed quality checks to ensure every product meets the company's high standards
• Maintain exceptional attention to detail in every step of the production process
• Use computer systems to record production data and track progress
• Keep a strong focus on efficiency, product quality, and accuracy to help deliver the best to our customers

Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Mechanical aptitude: Comfortable working with tools, parts, and mechanical components
• Basic math skills: Able to perform addition and subtraction accurately to support production needs
• Physical requirements: Must be able to lift and maneuver up to 30 lbs. regularly during a shift, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Work environment: Able to perform effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
• Consistency and focus: Capable of completing repetitive motions while maintaining accuracy and quality standards
• Manual dexterity: Able to handle and assemble small parts and components efficiently
• Tool operation: Proficient in using hand tools and basic machining equipment safely
• Teamwork and communication: Able to follow written and verbal instructions and report any issues or non-conformances promptly
