About the Role

Howden, a Chart Industries Company, is a global engineering business providing industrial products that improve processes across multiple sectors. This role is based at our Windsor, CT location and focuses on assembling components to build a wide variety of fans.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate components using equipment such as a press, VTL, or roller.
• Assemble components to build fans using a press, spot welders, and pop rivets.
• Straighten and balance fans.
• Work with drawings of medium complexity, work orders, and verbal or written instructions.
• Use a variety of hand tools, cranes, hoists, and material handling equipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean work area.

Physical Work Environment

• Standing for long periods of time.
• Walking the production floor.
• Bending, stooping, and lifting up to 25 lbs.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Experience working in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read engineering documentation (drawings).
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to safely work and maintain a clean and organized work area.
