Assembler
About the role
This position will be responsible for assembling various manufacturing products on the production floor to meet customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Laminating, fastening, and assembling products using: staple gun, nail gun, screw
- Folding or packing cartons
- Stacking or strapping goods
- Using a hand truck to organize work area and or move material
- Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records
- Meet all company safety policies
- Meet all quality and efficiency standards
- Perform sensory quality control checks to verify appearance code date, seal, and case
- Make up and fold cartons, close cartons, and stack them on a pallet for transfer
- Special projects and assignments as business dictate
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to handle or feel. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
The noise level in the work environment can be at times loud. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts. Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles; vibrations
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years of age. Experience reading blueprints preferred. Experience in miscellaneous assembly a plus. Ability to work a flexible schedule. Ability to follow detailed instructions including reading a tape. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Team-oriented and self-directed.
