Assembler
Job Summary
Following manufacturing instructions, diagrams and drawings, as well as, verbal instruction using a basic array of hand tools, including wire strippers, crimpers, torque wrenches, multi-meters, microscopes, soldering, and/or brazing equipment
Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test prototype and production released assemblies and subassemblies according to instructions and specifications
Variety of assembly operations on complex units or sub-units of precision production parts and components involving precision fittings and tolerances
Assembly of tools according to their specifications and instructions including using test instruments for calibration and advanced adjustments
Identify defective items and handle them according to established procedures
Maintain equipment in good condition and check for calibration due dates
Report on issues, malfunction, defective part, or defective equipment
Test finished products for defects
Perform in-process visual inspections, dimensional inspections and cosmetic final clean up
Education/Previous Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent education
0-2 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment
