Responsibilities
- Assemble products/parts using hand tools or power tools while performing quality checks to ensure the final product meets specifications
- Weigh and label packages
- Inspect materials to ensure there is no damage
- Produce daily schedule targets to meet productivity
- Create labels for finished goods and production reporting
- Use a variety of hand tools and power equipment
- Stage material to the schedule to meet customer demand
- Work in partnership with the Quality Department to verify materials meet industry standards
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure quality standards and specifications are adhered to
- Perform changeovers on the automated machine, including diameter and lengths
- Maintain lot integrity through the assembly process
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment
- Keep the work area safe, clean, and organized
Skills
- Ability to read job tags and understand processing steps
- Effective communication with others
- Ability to operate a powered industrial truck
- Proficiency with basic hand and power tools
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic math and measurement skills
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in a distribution center environment
- Standing for long periods of time is required
- Lifting up to 50+ pounds on occasion
- Must be willing and available to work overtime, as needed
