Assembler A- 2nd Shift

About the role

Eaton’s IS AER FMC division is seeking an Assembler A‑2nd Shift for the Los Angeles facility.

Responsibilities

• Assemble routine mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top assemblies of mild to most complex product line, including commercial parts for customers such as Boeing, Embraer, Gulfstream, Cessna, and Airbus.
• Occasionally work on electrical assemblies and perform soldering.
• Assemble mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and top assemblies; ensure activities are performed correctly with proper tooling and documentation.
• Perform lock wire/safety wire and nameplate installation.
• Proactively identify best practices.
• Utilize hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, arbor press, vises, soldering iron, depth micrometers, calipers, lock‑wire pliers, and dial indicators.
• Interpret blueprints, verbal, and/or written instructions.
• Perform cross‑training when required.
• Prepare materials, including lapping of surfaces with proper tooling techniques and compounds.
• Conduct visual inspection, identify defective items, and handle per established procedures.
• Adhere to operational procedures and ensure tooling is calibrated before use.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned and may be temporarily reassigned to cover workload in other production areas.
• Work overtime as required to meet business needs.

Requirements

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Two (2) years of assembly experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, or military environment.
• Reside within 50 miles of the Los Angeles, CA facility (Active Duty military exempt from this geographical requirement).
