Assembler - 3rd Shift (Horicon)

About the Role

Metalcraft of Mayville is hiring 3rd Shift Assemblers! Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, Assemblers are responsible for producing components by assembling parts and subassemblies for products. 3rd Shift Hours = 10pm - 6am (Sunday - Thursday)

Responsibilities

• Prepares work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Positions parts and subassemblies using templates or reading measurements.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed components.
• Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor for additional resources.
• Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt of supplies.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Ensures compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a highly technical environment.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Experience with light electrical assembly and/or heavy equipment assembly.
• Exposure to a Lean manufacturing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team and coordinate with other departments.
• Aptitude to take orders and execute them efficiently.
• High school degree, diploma, or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation, and ability to multi-task.
• Good finger and hand dexterity.
