About the role

As an Assembler, you will join the Stud Welding Systems team in Troy, MI. Your responsibilities include:

  • Proficient in reading mechanical blueprints, basic electrical and electronic schematics, wiring lists and diagrams, assembly prints and bills of materials.
  • Completing all SEF, SWS Weld Systems related paperwork, checks and prepping.
  • Identifying basic electrical and electronic components including diodes, resistors, capacitors and relays on prints and actual components.
  • Building feeders, controls, weld heads, feed tubes, installing software and troubleshooting complicated technical issues with SEF, SWS Weld Systems and spare parts.
  • Using equipment such as calipers, micrometers, electrical multi-meter for checking resistance and continuity as well as other mechanical and electrical measuring tools.
  • Having working knowledge of general fastening hardware terminology and identifying between different types of screws, nuts, and washers.
  • Soldering wires, cables as well as electronic components.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to read and write to follow quality assembly instructions and related postings.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form.
  • Deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Understand and follow written and verbal instructions when receiving assignments.
  • Read safety rules, instructions in the use of maintenance of shop tools and equipment, and methods and procedures.
