Assembler - 1st (3115)

Role Overview

The Heavy Assembler is responsible for assembling large or heavy subassemblies and units, ensuring parts fit, test, and calibrate according to specifications.

Responsibilities

• Study assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists to prepare for work.
• Position, assemble, and fasten components, verifying fit and tolerances.
• Measure completed components and resolve assembly issues by adjusting dimensions.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and coordinate repairs.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and document production and quality actions.
• Manage supplies inventory and coordinate procurement of needed materials.

Qualifications & Skills

• 0-2 years of relevant experience; high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and power tools preferred.
• Apprenticeship in related field is a plus.
