Assembler 1st & 2nd Shift

About the role

The position is responsible for assembling metal products, positioning parts, and performing various assembly tasks according to knowledge of the unit or following blueprints, diagrams, layouts, or oral instruction.

Responsibilities

• Positions parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or blueprint.
• Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets or other fasteners using hand, air and/or power tools.
• Removes small quantities of metal to produce close fit between parts.
• Tends to machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations as specified.
• Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner in compliance with safety rules and regulations.
• Keeps area clean and organized.
• Assists in the instruction and training of others as requested by supervisor.

Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience: 0-2 years or more.
• Travel: Less than 10%.
• Skills: Ability to follow established methods and procedures, work rapidly and under time pressure, read build sheets and blueprints, communicate effectively, and operate machinery safely.

Qualifications

• Able to work overtime hours as needed.

Skills

• Ability to read and understand build sheets and blueprints.
• Knowledge of assembly processes and safety protocols.

Pay

The starting hourly wage range for this position is $21+ per hour, depending on experience and other factors.

Schedule

1st Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm Monday - Friday
2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Occasional overtime on Saturdays.
