About the role

This is a 3rd shift position at Buffalo Trace Distillery. The Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) Attendant supports and oversees real-time AS/RS performance, identifies problems, and helps the team resolve them quickly. The role focuses on continuous improvement to eliminate faults and losses within the AS/RS while ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve system faults in the AS/RS.
• Run reports to ensure orders are filled in a timely manner.
• Optimize the AS/RS to drive efficiency and productivity.
• Execute processes to maintain accurate inventory.
• Develop tools and processes for regular and efficient cycle counting.
• Resolve stock issues and validate accurate data in the system.
• Ensure accurate ongoing inventory through Savanna reports.
• Identify fault trends and lead problem-solving efforts to eliminate top faults.
• Work with operations staff to identify key improvement areas and define improved procedures.
• Ensure adherence to Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Environmental Policies and Practices.
• Provide direction on improvement areas around inventory and explain efficiency reporting.

Requirements

• Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work as part of a team and self-directed.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with manufacturing software (ERP, MRP, MPS, WMS).
• Strong computer skills and comfort using technology and systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization.
• Bachelor’s Degree.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Ability to work overtime if necessary.
• Ability to work an 8-hour shift, primarily standing.
• Sedentary work involving movement to accomplish tasks or moving between worksites.
