About the role
This is a 3rd shift position at Buffalo Trace Distillery. The Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) Attendant supports and oversees real-time AS/RS performance, identifies problems, and helps the team resolve them quickly. The role focuses on continuous improvement to eliminate faults and losses within the AS/RS while ensuring customer orders are processed efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Identify and resolve system faults in the AS/RS.
- Run reports to ensure orders are filled in a timely manner.
- Optimize the AS/RS to drive efficiency and productivity.
- Execute processes to maintain accurate inventory.
- Develop tools and processes for regular and efficient cycle counting.
- Resolve stock issues and validate accurate data in the system.
- Ensure accurate ongoing inventory through Savanna reports.
- Identify fault trends and lead problem-solving efforts to eliminate top faults.
- Work with operations staff to identify key improvement areas and define improved procedures.
- Ensure adherence to Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Environmental Policies and Practices.
- Provide direction on improvement areas around inventory and explain efficiency reporting.
Requirements
- Minimum High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to work as part of a team and self-directed.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with manufacturing software (ERP, MRP, MPS, WMS).
- Strong computer skills and comfort using technology and systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Ability to work overtime if necessary.
- Ability to work an 8-hour shift, primarily standing.
- Sedentary work involving movement to accomplish tasks or moving between worksites.
- In-person job attendance.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to work near moving mechanical parts.
- Ability to work in high, precarious places.
