About the role
This is a highly skilled position involving control and operation of an Asphalt Shuttlebuggy.
Responsibilities
- Operate Asphalt Shuttlebuggy machine safely and efficiently.
- Perform other related duties, such as adding accessories associated with the machine and cleaning of machine.
- Possess a solid understanding of the paving industry and details related to asphalt paving.
- Perform minor servicing and maintenance to ensure the efficient working condition of the equipment.
- Perform shovel work, setting string line, adding or removing screed extensions as needed.
- Keep time and material records as required.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience operating an Asphalt Shuttlebuggy.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above shoulders.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
