Asphalt Screed Operator

Responsibilities

• Maintains and verifies depth and slope of mat behind asphalt paver.
• Operates electronic controls on machine to control depth and slope of mat.
• May occasionally operate manual controls.
• Adjusts screed to control texture and width of mat.
• Shovels and lutes materials as needed.
• Prioritize safety at all times, following company and industry safety guidelines and protocols.
• Performs other tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience operating construction machinery.
• Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques and safety standards.
