Asphalt Paving Laborer

Key Responsibilities

• Site Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces, remove debris, set up traffic control (flagger duties).
• Material Handling: Load/unload materials, transport tools, shovel, rake, and lute hot asphalt to achieve proper thickness and grade.
• Ashphalt Application: Assist screed operators, smooth irregularities, apply tack coat (oil) for bonding.
• Equipment Operation: Operate hand/power tools (rakes, shovels, tampers) and assist with machinery like pavers, compactors, and rollers.
• Finishing & Compaction: Work with rollers to smooth and compact surfaces, ensure proper finish.
• Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine equipment maintenance, follow all safety regulations, and clean up the job site.

Essential Skills & Requirements

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, lift, bend, and work in hot, demanding conditions.
• Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with shovels, rakes, tampers, and paving equipment.
• Teamwork & Communication: Work effectively with crew members and operators.
• Safety Focus: Strong understanding of safety protocols and traffic control.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work varied hours etc.

Pay

The wage is based on experience.
