ASP NET development

About the role

This is a State Contract position requiring in-person, on-site work. The selected Consultants will work closely with the designated I.T. supervisor, project managers, and other developers in an agile development environment. The work scope includes requirements gathering, application design, application development, testing, deployment, and technical support. Consultants will be responsible for new development and/or rewriting legacy applications to .NET applications utilizing C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, Web API, Windows Forms, SQL Server, and other technologies. The new applications will implement an N-tier architecture and comply with coding standards.

Responsibilities

• Requirements gathering, application design, application development, testing, deployment, and technical support
• New development and/or rewriting legacy applications to .NET applications utilizing C#, ASP.NET Core MVC, Web API, Windows Forms, SQL Server, and other technologies
• Implement N-tier architecture and comply with coding standards
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to technical staff
• Collaborate with supporting resources across business and/or functional lines
• Manage time and resources to meet assigned deadlines
• Work independently and as part of a team

Requirements

• .NET Web Developer experience developing ASP.NET Core MVC applications, including at least 4 years of ASP.NET Core MVC (10 years total)
• ASP.NET development using C# (10 years)
• SQL Server database design and development, including query optimization, tables, views, stored procedures, and functions (10 years)
• Code repository, code promotion, and recovery strategies using TFS (10 years)
• Developing applications using Entity Framework (EF) 4.0 or later (10 years)
• Developing web applications using .NET Framework 4.0 or higher (10 years)
• Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) experience developing and securing Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) (10 years)
• N-tier environments as related to development and deployment (10 years)
• Developing projects using Agile methodology with TFS / DevOps (5 years)
• Developing reports using SSRS and SSIS and making them accessible within an MVC web application (5 years)
• Developing applications that are mobile compliant (5 years)
• Developing with Visual Studio, including 2 years with Visual Studio 2019 (5 years)
• TFS/Azure DevOps, including Git, Boards, and CI/CD pipelines (5 years)
• REST API experience (2 years)
• Microsoft C# .NET Core or .NET 5 experience (2 years)
• Test Driven Development (TDD) or experience implementing an application testing strategy (2 years)
• Implementing AJAX-enabled controls within ASP.NET web applications

• NET Microsoft Developer Certification preferred
• Must demonstrate competence/experience in specific area(s) of project assignment during the interview process
