About the role

Member of the Tavil Department responsible for performing all tasks, including measuring the weight and labeling all product boxes before they are packed and prepared for shipment within the Thigh department to fulfill customer orders. Must take a proactive role in ensuring safe and quality products, immediately addressing any safety and/or quality concerns.

Responsibilities

• Ensure correct tray quantities and placement of labels and dates.
• Identify product within the box, use the correct box type (organic/RWA), place product on the scale, and label with correct weight and identification.
• Verify that all box label information is accurate.
• Clean the scale at the end of the shift.
• Know how to change label rolls and perform any other general labeling-related tasks.
• Take a proactive role in ensuring safe and quality products, immediately addressing any safety or quality concerns.
• Learn to operate the weight and price machine and verify that the printed label information is correct.
• Ensure label information matches product information and the main box label.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Assist with manually stacking boxes on pallets (up to 50 lbs) when excess boxes accumulate on the lines.

Education and Experience

Prior experience is preferred but not required. No formal education is required.

Language Skills

• Ability to speak English and/or Spanish.
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Communicate effectively in front of groups of customers or employees.
