About the role

As a Field Application Engineer 3, you play a key role in driving technical wins, customer adoption, and expansion through pre-sales support, solution recommendations, and account-focused technical guidance. This role builds relationships with individual contributors and first-line managers, assesses customer needs, and supports the development of impactful sales campaigns in partnership with account teams. Field AEs act as trusted technical advisors, lead smaller-scale technical initiatives, support evaluations and deployments, and provide mentorship to junior Field AEs as they build expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for all DVT technologies and solutions, contributing towards the execution of the pre/post sales strategy established by the account team.
  • Build relationships with customer stakeholders at the engineering and first-line management level.
  • Support technical discovery to understand customer requirements, design flows, and competitive challenges.
  • Deliver clear, effective technical presentations demonstrating Siemens EDA solutions and their value.
  • Support technical aspects of sales campaigns, including evaluations, pilot projects, and solution positioning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Sales, Product, Support, and Services to execute engagements successfully.
  • Drive product adoption by contributing to methodologies, assisting with workflow improvements, and supporting deployments.
  • Provide input on solution configuration and licensing based on customer requirements and technical outcomes.
  • Assist customers through evaluation and deployment challenges to promote satisfaction and continued engagement.
  • Share insights on customer needs, competitive dynamics, and product improvements with internal teams.
  • Mentor and guide junior Field Application Engineers and contribute to team knowledge development.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Siemens EDA solutions, competitive technologies, and go-to-market strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 3+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong understanding of Design and Verification concepts in ASIC & FPGA flow.
  • Expertise in Advanced Verification methodologies & environments.
  • Proficiency in coding with Verilog/VHDL/SystemVerilog, UVM, PSL/SVA.
  • Experience with Verification IP, Formal & Emulation technology is a plus.
  • Foundational understanding of customer design flows and the ability to align Siemens EDA solutions to support those workflows.
  • Proficiency with core EDA tools, methodologies, and design environments.
  • Experience extending or working with tools through scripting, APIs, or configuration is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate the value of Siemens EDA solutions within a broader product portfolio.
  • Awareness of competitive EDA environments and the ability to help position Siemens solutions effectively.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage technical audiences.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $125,300.00 to $250,600.00 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.

This position is subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.
