About the role

The Ash House Loader Driver ensures their vehicle complies with the Company’s safety standards and adheres to all Company, state, and federal regulations while operating the vehicle. Note: A CDL A is required for this role at the Bridgeport facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle to ensure tire pressure, fluid levels, safety equipment, gauges, and controls are in proper working order. Report any safety issues on standard reports.
• Safely operate a heavy truck.
• Courteously interact with dispatchers and others on a daily basis.
• Clean areas around accidental waste spills, ensuring adherence to all applicable safety standards and policies.
• Continuously monitor the vehicle’s condition to ensure operational readiness and minimize downtime.
• Complete required productivity sheets and other reports as needed.
• Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for the department.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate good customer service skills to meet and exceed customer expectations; act professionally, courteously, and cooperatively toward customers and co-workers.
• Exhibit strong time management skills to complete responsibilities efficiently and safely.
• Demonstrate follow-through ability; adhere to work schedules and address challenges as they arise.
• Adhere to Company policies and rules; promote safety standards and avoid inappropriate risks.

• Operating a 1.5-inch fire hose at 125 psi line pressure to extinguish fires.
• Operating fire extinguishing equipment ranging from handheld extinguishers to 200 lb portable units.
• Accessing confined spaces and pressure vessels through standard 12" by 16" manways.
