Job Title: Aseptic Technician – 3rd ShiftJob Description This role focuses on supporting aseptic operations in ISO 6 and 7 cleanroom environments by cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining glassware, medical components, and workstations in accordance with cGMP and standard operating procedures. The aseptic technician ensures that all processes meet strict quality and documentation standards while contributing to a safe, compliant, and growing pharmaceutical and biotech-focused operation on the 3rd shift. Responsibilities Wash and prepare glassware and medical components using designated equipment, following established procedures.Work in ISO 6 and ISO 7 cleanroom environments while consistently wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE).Perform aseptic cleaning and sanitization of equipment, components, and designated areas to maintain sterile conditions.Maintain aseptic samples and ensure they are handled, stored, and documented in compliance with applicable procedures.Apply current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) in all daily activities and follow approved standard operating procedures (SOPs).Monitor process systems and equipment to verify proper operation and promptly report any deviations or issues.Perform daily and weekly preventive maintenance tasks on assigned equipment and assist the maintenance team as needed.Participate in safety committees and strictly adhere to all safety rules, procedures, and regulations.Accurately complete all required documentation for each task, ensuring good documentation practices and data integrity.Clean, sanitize, and disinfect workstations before and after use to maintain a controlled and compliant environment.Demonstrate strong attention to detail and maintain high work accuracy in all tasks and records.Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by the supervisor to support operational needs.Adapt to different processes and workflows depending on the project or client requirements, maintaining flexibility and reliability.Support continuous improvement and growth initiatives, including lab and facility expansion activities as needed. Essential Skills Experience working in aseptic environments, including use of aseptic techniques and sterilization practices.Practical experience in cleanroom operations, sanitization, and sterile processing.Industry experience of approximately 1–2 years in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or related cGMP environments is ideal.Working knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and ability to follow written standard operating procedures (SOPs).Demonstrated good documentation practices, including accurate, legible, and timely completion of records.Basic computer skills with the ability to learn and use an internal, home-grown database system.Ability to monitor and operate process systems and equipment safely and effectively.Strong attention to detail and commitment to high accuracy in all tasks.Punctuality, reliability, and willingness to work and remain on the 3rd shift schedule.Flexibility and a strong work ethic, with a desire to grow and stay long term in the role. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience in pharmaceutical, compounding pharmacy, medical device, or biotech environments.Background in operations or production within regulated industries.Familiarity with contract sterilization services, including steam and dry heat sterilization processes.Comfort working in a laboratory or cleanroom setting with gowning requirements.Interest in professional growth and advancement opportunities within a growing organization.Ability to collaborate effectively with safety committees, maintenance personnel, and cross-functional teams. Work Environment The role is based in ISO 6 and ISO 7 cleanroom environments where aseptic conditions are critical. Team members regularly gown and wear full PPE for extended periods, typically 6–10 hours per shift with scheduled breaks. The position operates on the 3rd shift, Monday through Friday, starting at 10:30 p.m., supporting overnight production and sterilization activities. The facility is undergoing growth and lab expansion, offering exposure to evolving processes and equipment in a regulated pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotech-focused setting. Work involves routine use of sterilization and cleaning equipment, adherence to cGMP standards, and consistent compliance with safety and documentation requirements. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, NJ. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $24.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
