Aseptic Production Machine Operator - Multiple Shifts Available

About the role
The Production Machine Operator reports to the Production Supervisor and is based out of our Hendersonville, North Carolina location. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the downstream machines run smoothly, function within specification, and produce the products that have been scheduled for the shift while ensuring a quality product is produced and all safety requirements are followed.
Responsibilities
- Operator the labeler on the Aseptic line
- Verify the type of glue/flow levels/temperature/cleaning schedule/replenish inventory
- Load labels / verify label application / enter data in Sherlock / collect samples from the line / follow changeover procedures / responsible for the printing machine – proper ink / verify application/speed / shut down and CIP procedures
- Operator the labeler on the Aseptic line
- Verification of the following: the correct program is selected / correct film / correct recipe/printer on / glue on and at correct temperature/oven on / correct trays being used / cleaning completed.
- Operator the palletizer on the Aseptic line
- Verification of the following: packaging size, correct film, case stickers on each case, correct palletizing pattern, the correct pallet used, correct # of cases/skid wrapping, and the skid is labeled with the license plate.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and standards for cost control, waste reduction, product quality, food, and employee safety.
- Detect equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine, controls.
- Equipment set up for daily production. Mechanical setup / correct recipes.
- Aid in the mold changeover during size changes for the SBOH.
- Hear alarms and respond quickly to adjust equipment to prevent unnecessary downtime.
- Prevent machine downtime / Monitor machines’ operations.
- Troubleshoot machinery when product quality deficiencies appear or when machinery otherwise malfunctions.
- Follow start-up and shut-down procedures on the checklist of all equipment related to Sidel equipment.
- Discuss problems with the supervisor, maintenance, quality control personnel, and other operators.
- Maintain processes by recording all data such as cycles, frequency, downtime, and faults, using the computer system Sherlock.
- Inspect the finished product.
- Follow GMP’s protocol in and outside of the Aseptic line.
- Follows all safety rules and requirements.
- Performs general housekeeping duties such as sweeping, picking up debris, etc. to keep the area clean.
- Clean & sanitize the floor at least once during the shifts.
- Perform other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
Qualifications
- High School or equivalent
- 5 years of manufacturing experience, as a machine operator
- Experience in the food/beverage industry
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in English
- Mechanically inclined
- Comfortable with technology and computers
- Detail-oriented and can multi-task
- Prior proven organizational skills

Pay & Schedule
- Starting Pay: $20.00/hour + (based on experience)
- Multiple Shifts Available (2-2-3 Schedule): Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
