Aseptic Cleaning Technician
We are currently hiring for multiple Laboratory Sanitation/Sterilization Technicians in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment.
About the role
The Laboratory Sanitation/Sterilization Technician plays a critical role in assuring sanitary conditions of the controlled areas of manufacturing pharmaceuticals and related medical products. This role primarily focuses on keeping the cleanroom laboratory sterilized; candidates will have to fully gown up when going in and out of rooms.
- Performs sanitary cleaning duties of equipment and working stations, ensuring that everything meets necessary regulations.
- Keeps the cleanroom sterilized to prevent cross-contamination in pharmaceuticals.
- Maintains accurate and complete inventory of cleaning supplies, ensuring supplies are never depleted.
- Trains and oversees other Aseptic Cleaners.
- Performs other oversight duties.
Responsibilities
- Assure sanitary conditions in controlled areas of pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Follow strict gowning procedures when entering and exiting cleanrooms.
- Adhere to heavy regulations and use PPE as required.
Requirements
- Must have at least a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have at least 6+ months of experience performing sanitation/cleaning in a regulated environment (e.g., pharmaceutical or food manufacturing, hospital surgery rooms, sterile processing).
- Experience must include the use of PPE and/or following strict regulations.
- Regular janitorial experience without regulated environments and strict PPE requirements does not qualify (e.g., cleaning office buildings, schools).
- Candidates with experience working in a sterile/cleanroom lab but no cleaning experience may also be considered.
Schedule
2nd shift: 2:30 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday – Friday. Some flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $21.00/hour. Individual compensation within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, and internal equity.
