Asbestos Technician

Essential Functions
- Execute specific asbestos/demolition tasks as instructed
- Clean and prepare project sites
- Work off ladders, lifts or scaffolding and with mechanical equipment as needed
- Operate hand tools and power tools
- Able to understand and follow directions
- Focused on SAFETY at all times
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years construction experience required
- Asbestos Worker Certification required
- OSHA 10 or higher construction training preferred; willing to get certificate within 30 days of hire
- Experience with construction hand tools required
- Experience working outside during all seasons and in all-weather required
- Able to pass pre-employment post-offer physical
- Excellent communication skills
- Organized, hardworking and motivated
- Strong team player with positive attitude
Working Environment/Physical Demands
- Coordination: Ability to coordinate your actions with those of other workers on busy construction sites
- Attendance: Ability to complete work projects on time and in an effective manner; regular and prompt attendance are essential job functions
- Working Conditions: Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, dust, rain, pollution and toxic atmospheres
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Ability to wear required PPE, including respirator, and participate in OSHA-required medical surveillance programs as necessary
- Lifting: Ability to pick up construction debris and able to lift 50 lbs. regularly
- Climbing: Ability to climb temporary or permanent stairs and ladders
- Sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling

Compensation
Compensation Range: $24.00 - $26.00/hour
Actual compensation is based on experience, qualifications, and location.
