Job Summary
Develop understanding and be aware of project-related risk. Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines. Ensure compliance with current regulatory standards and state licensure needs during project implementation.
Responsibilities
- Attend client meetings.
- Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines.
- Create and model a safe work environment; demonstrate safety practices.
- Promote pre-task planning for all projects.
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to staff employees.
- Analyze all technical aspects of subject area, define scope, select problems for investigation, develop novel concepts and approaches, and recommend major design changes.
- Full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating scientific assignments involving unique or controversial problems which significantly affect projects.
- Provide consultation on quality control issues.
- Identify potential clients in need of consulting expertise and sell the services of the company to those clients.
- Participate in the development of marketing strategies and formal presentations of qualifications to clients on various projects in area of expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or related science field and a minimum of 3 years’ related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 7 years’ related experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
- Required Certification: Certification in field of expertise required.
