Asbestos Analyst - Built Environment Testing

About the role

This position involves performing asbestos analysis using Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) on environmental samples, including bulk and air samples, to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze asbestos samples following scientific and regulatory guidelines.
• Operate laboratory equipment with discretion and judgment.
• Validate, review, and report data accurately via Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Maintain quality control through reference materials and proficiency testing.
• Support client service and technical inquiries.
• Assist in maintaining laboratory accreditation and quality assurance processes.
• Manage sample workflow, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
• Train new analysts and contribute to process improvements.
• Coordinate project timelines to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1+ years of asbestos microscopy experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Geology, Biology, or related sciences, or TEM asbestos training.
• Experience with Transmission Electron Microscopy preferred.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Pay

Competitive hourly wage ranging from $23 to $27.
