Job Summary
Enhance and maintain enterprise RPG IV / ILE RPG applications on IBM i (AS/400) platform.
Responsibilities
- Refactor and modernize legacy RPG applications to improve performance, maintainability, and design.
- Leverage GitHub for source control and collaboration.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Codex/CoPilot) to analyze, enhance, and refactor code.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production application issues.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Support testing, deployment, and knowledge transfer activities.
Requirements
- Apply strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle and best practices.
- (Preferred) Use TURNOVER change management tool for AS/400 platform.
- (Preferred) Write and optimize SQL within RPG development.
- (Preferred) Develop interfaces and system integrations.
- (Preferred) Support manufacturing, warehousing, supply chain, or inventory management systems.
