About the role

The Artist in Residence will contribute to a vibrant and ambitious creative environment, working with motivated and highly capable students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. The position offers the opportunity to gain experience within a leading academic school and contribute meaningfully to both curricular and co-curricular provision.

Responsibilities

• Work across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, collaborating with students and teachers to enhance the art curriculum.
• Develop and deliver art projects that align with the school's educational goals and student interests.
• Engage with students through workshops, presentations, and critiques to support their artistic development.
• Collaborate with the Art Department to plan and implement co-curricular art events and initiatives.

Requirements

• A practicing artist with a strong portfolio and track record of exhibition or publication.
• Experience working with students in a school setting, ideally in a similar institution.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students to explore and express themselves creatively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

Qualifications

• BA or equivalent degree in Fine Arts, Education, or a related field.
• Teaching qualification or willingness to pursue one.
• Experience in teaching art at secondary level.
