Artificial Intelligence Software Architect

About the role

Provide technical expertise in the evaluation, design, and responsible implementation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions. Support the development and implementation of AI strategies aligned with organizational goals and objectives. Evaluate AI products, platforms, tools, models, and services for technical feasibility, security, performance, and operational suitability. Support AI use-case review and approval processes, ensuring proposed solutions meet established compliance, security, privacy, and operational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and promote standardized AI processes, reusable technical patterns, and best practices.
• Design secure AI architectures and contribute to the development of reusable technical approaches for enterprise and government environments.
• Develop AI use cases, prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and feasibility assessments.
• Establish success criteria for AI proof-of-concepts and evaluate AI solutions against defined criteria.
• Design and implement AI agents and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Work hands-on with generative AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and comparable technologies.
• Use AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate software development, testing, debugging, and technical documentation.
• Define KPIs, success criteria, and production monitoring measures for AI implementations.
• Develop dashboards and reports covering AI adoption, performance, cost, risk, and operational outcomes.
• Integrate AI capabilities with Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud environments.
• Assist organizations in identifying AI opportunities, understanding associated risks, and developing responsible AI strategies.
• Contribute technical expertise to AI governance, validation, and implementation initiatives.
• Maintain current and advanced knowledge of AI technologies and emerging industry practices.
• Communicate technical concepts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders and support knowledge-transfer activities.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for complex AI initiatives.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. Advanced degree is preferred.
• 1+ year of experience establishing proof-of-concept success criteria and evaluating AI solutions against defined criteria.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and comparable generative AI platforms.
• 2+ years of experience designing and implementing AI agents and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• 1+ year of experience using AI-assisted coding tools for development, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• 1+ year of experience defining AI use-case success criteria, KPIs, and production monitoring measures.
• 1+ year of experience building dashboards and reporting for AI adoption, performance, cost, risk, and operational outcomes.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience integrating AI capabilities with Azure and AWS.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, knowledge-transfer, technical writing, and presentation skills.
• Experience working on complex technical projects.

Skills

• Background in a variety of programming languages and programming principles.
• Familiarity with the foundations of Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs), transformers, Natural Language Processing (NLP), image classification, and time-series data.
• Experience with data tools and techniques for storing, retrieving, and cleaning data.
