About the Role

We are seeking an Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Engineer I to help deliver high-impact AI initiatives that improve information discovery, automate business processes, and support responsible AI adoption across a large enterprise environment. In this hybrid role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and deploy enterprise search capabilities, implement AI-powered agents, support AI inventory and monitoring solutions, and contribute to AI governance initiatives that promote secure, scalable, and compliant AI adoption. Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and deployment of enterprise artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions.
  • Assist in building and deploying components of an enterprise search platform.
  • Configure, deploy, document, and support the Darwin AI inventory and monitoring system.
  • Assist with the implementation, testing, and deployment of AI agents that support business operations and customer-facing services.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and implementation guides.
  • Support AI governance initiatives by developing technical controls, documentation, and compliance processes.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to deliver AI solutions aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and validation of AI applications and services.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts related to AI technologies, governance, and enterprise adoption.
  • Support multiple concurrent AI initiatives while meeting project timelines and quality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience building and deploying components of enterprise search solutions.
  • At least 1 year of experience configuring, implementing, or supporting AI inventory or monitoring platforms.
  • At least 1 year of experience implementing and testing AI agents or intelligent automation solutions.
  • At least 1 year of experience developing technical controls, documentation, and processes supporting AI governance initiatives.
  • Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional technical teams.
  • Experience supporting enterprise software development or AI implementation projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise AI platforms and machine learning technologies.
  • Knowledge of AI governance, cybersecurity, privacy, and responsible AI practices.
  • Experience supporting enterprise search technologies.
  • Familiarity with AI inventory, monitoring, or compliance platforms.
  • Experience working in large enterprise or government environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay & Schedule

  • Location: Austin, Texas
  • Job type: Contract
  • Pay: $53 - 58 per hour
  • Work hours: 8am to 5pm
