Job Summary

Bright Vision Technologies is seeking a highly skilled Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer for a full-time opportunity in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph and supports a highly sensitive intelligence environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, prototype, test, and deploy AI-driven solutions within an existing software and system architecture.
  • Build production-quality code and maintain existing AI/ML systems in a secure operational environment.
  • Partner with software engineers, system engineers, and domain stakeholders to integrate AI capabilities into mission applications.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis on structured and unstructured datasets to identify patterns, data quality issues, and optimal inputs for model development.
  • Develop, train, tune, and evaluate machine learning models based on mission and system requirements.
  • Implement robust testing, validation, and performance evaluation methods to ensure models are reliable, accurate, and operationally effective.
  • Present AI solution approaches, technical tradeoffs, and implementation implications to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support cloud-based deployment and lifecycle management of machine learning models using AWS and MLOps practices.
  • Stay current with emerging AI and machine learning advancements and apply relevant innovations to existing systems and new challenges.

Required Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience designing and developing AI/ML solutions from concept through production deployment.
  • Experience building, training, testing, and evaluating machine learning models in real-world environments.
  • Strong programming experience writing production-quality code, preferably in Python.
  • Experience conducting Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) on both structured and unstructured data.
  • Ability to assess data quality, define data models, and determine appropriate model input strategies.
  • Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into existing software platforms or enterprise architectures.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical decisions, model tradeoffs, and solution implications clearly to a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) for cloud-based AI/ML deployment.
  • Experience with MLOps tools and practices for deploying, monitoring, and managing machine learning models at scale.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting intelligence, defense, or other classified environments.
  • Experience working in cross-functional engineering teams involving system engineering, software engineering, and mission-focused stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with secure operational environments and AI deployment within mission-critical systems.

Clearance Requirement

Candidates must have an active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph at the time of submission. This is a hard requirement.

Work Environment

Onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD 1–2 remote days per week may be allowed based on tasking and program needs.
