About the role

This role supports the Program Planning and Control Office of the Artemis Program in the planning and execution of programmatic life cycle reviews for the Artemis Program and in monitoring and providing insight into the Artemis Programs/Projects life cycle reviews and progress toward NASA Key Decision Points (KDPs). The position will be based full-time at Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX or NASA Headquarters in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Life Cycle Review (LCR) expertise and management to the Artemis Program’s Program Planning and Control (PP&C) Office and interface with Artemis Program’s program/project LCR managers.
  • Serve as the lead Artemis Program PP&C LCR team member to facilitate requirements levied by NPR 7120.5 in preparation for all Artemis Program’s Life Cycle Reviews (LCRs) and/or Key Decision Points (KDPs) and providing insight into the Artemis Program’s program LCRs (Human Landing System, Space Launch System, Orion, and Exploration Extravehicular Activity (Suits)).
  • Facilitate guidance to the Artemis Program on the level of the maturity matrix products for each stage of the LCR or phase of the KDP.
  • Review all Program and Project maturity matrix products within the milestone tool for all Artemis Program LCRs or KDPs.
  • Interface with Artemis Program management to assist with the development of the Artemis Program Executive documentation with the NASA Headquarters secretariat for all Mission Directorate Program Management Council (DPMC) and Agency Program Management Council (APMC).
  • Provide a consistent interface with Artemis PP&C management to progress the processes developed and used by the Artemis programs/projects; guide the internal teams and gather information on new or upcoming processes in work to prepare for implementation within the office or on an Artemis LCR.
  • Primary interface with Artemis Program’s programs LCR Review Managers. Meet regularly to develop insight and report up to Artemis PP&C leadership technical plans for executing all program/projects LCRs.
  • SharePoint and Teams development and maintenance:
    • Create new SharePoint Online (SPOL) pages as requested by the customer.
    • Maintain existing SPOL pages, including retirement of old pages, by working with team leadership to ensure content and links on internal NASA pages are current and correct.
    • Create and maintain Team channels as requested by the customer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or other applicable STEM areas.
  • At least 8 years of increasingly responsible professional experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the NASA program life cycle processes and program/project management stages.
  • Ability to effectively utilize oral and written communication to express concepts and recommendations to personnel at all technical and managerial levels.
  • Ability to work effectively and quickly in real-time environments of rapid change, conflicting requirements, and occasional pressure.
  • At least 3 years’ experience with SharePoint Online and Teams environments.
  • Experience working across diverse teams and different engineering disciplines.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Tool Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willing to travel domestically approximately 10%.
  • This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

Qualifications

It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:

  • Advanced Science degree in engineering, science, or other applicable STEM areas.
  • Proven experience in Program Planning and Control (PP&C) and Life Cycle Review (LCR).
  • Previously served as lead to support successful program execution and delivery.

Pay

The grade-based pay range for this job is $117,300.00 - $175,900.00 annually. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
