ARTC - Material Expediter - Seasonal

About the Role

This position is located at the Arctic Regions Test Center (ARTC), Delta Junction, Alaska. The role involves performing a variety of tasks associated with test support, including transporting equipment and personnel, setting up and taking down specialized equipment, operating generators, and performing road guard duty.

Responsibilities

• Transport equipment and personnel in GSAs, CATVs/SUSVs, or other vehicles.
• Set up and take down specialized equipment in various locations and weather conditions.
• Perform pre-checks and operate generators.
• Operate radios and perform road guard duty to prevent entry to restricted areas during test operations.
• Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license without restrictions.
• Proficient in MS Windows and word processing applications.
• Capable of working indoors and outdoors, issuing and receiving materials.
• Self-starter needing little or no supervision.
• Able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

Physical Requirements

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening, physical, and periodic retests.
• Able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for assigned tasks.
• Capable of working in extreme weather conditions, including temperatures below -40 Fahrenheit.
• Able to lift 75 lbs. unassisted.
• Capable of kneeling, bending, and standing while performing job duties.
• Must be able to distinguish colors.

Additional Desirable Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in a government supply operation or three years’ experience in a supply field.
• Capable of operating Material Handling equipment.
• Working knowledge of time keeping procedures.
• Shipping and receiving experience and familiarity with supply systems or working knowledge of a construction operation.

Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess a valid driver's license without special restrictions.
• Obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Be a current TRAX employee or affiliate subcontractor for internal postings.

Pay Rate: $30.43
