Art Therapist

About the role

Work with patients facing physical, mental health, and substance abuse issues, helping them express emotions through artwork such as painting, sketching, or drawing.

Responsibilities

• Analyze artwork with patients to explore emotions and experiences
• Develop solutions for personal challenges through therapeutic art activities
• Teach coping skills to manage stressful or traumatic experiences
• Provide individualized documentation after each session
• Support patients' emotional recovery in a compassionate manner

Requirements

• Current Art Therapist credential
• One year of related experience, preferably with psychiatric patient care knowledge
• Complete CPR and CPI training before providing direct care
