Job Summary
The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging art lessons aligned with curriculum standards for assigned grade levels
- Foster creativity and self-expression through a variety of artistic mediums and techniques
- Incorporate Catholic values and themes into art instruction where appropriate
- Maintain a positive, organized, and safe classroom environment
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on artistic development
- Display student artwork and help coordinate school art shows or events
- Manage art supplies, materials, and classroom equipment
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support school-wide initiatives and activities
- Communicate effectively with parents, administration, and colleagues
- Uphold school policies, procedures, and Archdiocesan standards
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Art Education or related field preferred
- Valid teaching certification (as required by state or Archdiocese)
- Prior teaching or experience working with children preferred
- Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills
- Passion for art education and fostering student creativity
- Ability to integrate faith and values into instruction
- Commitment to the mission of Catholic education
- Must meet all Archdiocesan requirements, including background check and Safe Environment training
